Winter in Scotland is chilly, as the British people like to say but chilly is no where close to what it is. It is Cold, Wet, Windy, Horrible and a lot more. When I said to people I am moving base to Edinburgh, they never asked me whether work was going to be good or whether the university I am shifting to has a good brand value or whether I was looking forward to it. All they ever said was “stay warm”. And little did I know what they meant…until of course the winter set in! But there’s a way to beat this cold…If you joined me on the Stroll then you would know that I have taken a liking to knitting and that I knit a scarf for myself as a first project. And a lot of you were sweet enough to ask me to share pictures of my scarf. And so this post is dedicated to winter fashion and scarves 🙂
Now the colours look slightly different in each image because the lighting somehow makes it look different but its a range of blues that make up the scarf and it’s bright and beautiful and most importantly super warm 🙂
What did you think about it? What do you think should be my next project? If you have been knitting for long and are good at it, suggest something simple that I could work on next and I shall try to look on YouTube to find a tutorial.
Have a bright and beautiful day

Thank you! It’s not the most perfect because it’s only my first ever attempt but I love it! 🙂

Thank you ❤ it's much brighter than I would've worn in India but here in the grey city of Edinburgh it is a much better contrast! 🙂

I figured it would come to this. Your friends were right in a gentle way. But finding warmth and beauty with inside projects makes the long dark brighter. Well, maybe somewhat brighter.

Thank you Albert. It’s amazing how we don’t know each other and yet seem to understand and are a part of each other’s journeys 🙂

Haha! Thanks Dorinda for thinking so 🙂 I’m really touched. It isn’t quite as perfect as it might look in the pictures! But it isn’t too bad either. I’ll get there soon enough and will be able to sell these some day! Yay!

It is super warm and I love it. I was initially apprehensive about the blues because I thought it’s too bright for my liking but it looks beautiful against the dull and grey Scottish skies!
