A few days back, Jaqueline had thrown an online party on her blog. And she caught my attention when she said something on the lines of
“We are cooking a huge pot of food today…let us know where you are joining the party from and what you are adding to the cooking pot…”
And I have been thinking of trying out a cooking experiment on the blog. I have taken to cooking big time in the past few days. And here’s an example of what I cooked recently (just to show you that I haven’t been bluffing about the cooking bit! Haha). It turned out quite well actually 😀
So here’s the deal…I’m going to start heating the pan. Onto the pan, I’ve added some olive oil and chopped onions. they are turning nice and golden.
What would you do to this now?
Come on, you don’t have to be a great cook to participate in this. If you have come across a nice short recipe or if you can think of something to add to the pan (or if you need a larger pot to cook what you ave in mind, go ahead and replace the pan with the pot!) and make a yummy side or a small meal, leave your comments in the comment section. let’s see where we can take this. I think it will be fun cooking with you guys out there! 🙂
Looking forward to what you bring with you today when you visit me…
I can smell the onions now…Hurry! Add your ingredients.
Stone soup!

Add some minced garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes. After a minute, chop a zucchini or two. Chop a tomato, black olives and add those to the pan. Top with crumbled feta until it’s softened and serve as a side or meatless entree. Bon Appetit!

That certainly sizzles and looks delicious. I made some sweet potato frittata and it would go well as a side dish 🙂

I would add cubed potatoes, chopped bell pepper, and chopped up left over pot roast to make use of the roast a second night in a row. Oh and don’t forget to salt and pepper to taste!
